Neighborhood Advisory Committee

The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) is a citizen committee organized at the request of the ACHD Board of Commissioners. This ad hoc committee was created for the specific purpose of providing input to ACHD by being both a citizens advisory group for transportation decisions and a liaison between ACHD, municipalities, interested neighborhood associations and other public groups. This group primarily focuses on neighborhood related programs, processes and transportation issues. This committee provides a link between ACHD and neighborhoods.  The committee may make recommendations to the ACHD Commission on issues of concern in a community.

Each city and unincorporated Ada County has at least one representative. Members are nominated by their respective mayors and city councils, and the county representative is named by the County Commissioners. Members serve two-year terms and may be re-appointed for an additional term. Currently there are 11 members on this committee.

NAC meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month except for the months of June, August and December. Meetings are held in the Auditorium of the Ada County Highway District located at 3775 Adams Street, Garden City, Idaho and begin at 11:30 a.m.
